The 2026 RPM Naperville prototype modeler event is only a few weeks away. Early registration has been extended until October 9th. It’s time to take advantage of the $65 early registration before the price increases on October 10th. After that date, registration will be $70 for the event.
The presentation slate is full of inspiring topics. This year four clinics are focused on railroad automobile box cars.
Jerry Hamsmith – A pair of 1920s Steel Box Cars for the Auto Industry
Ed Rethwisch – Building New York Central and Chesapeake & Ohio Automobile Box Cars
Ray Breyer – Automobile Box Car History
Clark Propst – Upgrading Roundhouse Double-Door, Single-Sheathed box cars
Descriptions for all of the 2026 presentations can be reviewed on the Presenters page. All of the presentations will be repeated. A tentative presentation schedule will be posted to our website very soon.
It’s sure to be another memorable gathering at the 30th RPM Naperville. Make sure you register now. Early registration is $65.00. You can use the PayPal function on our website, or you can print out a PDF form and mail it in with a check. The online PayPal function and registration PDF will close on October 10th. Registration will be available at the door with an increased cost.
The Northern Illinois University Conference Center will be full of presentations, model displays, operating display layouts, and vendors for the October 16-17 event. The facility is on the NIU campus in suburban Naperville, Illinois (1120 E. Diehl Road, Suite 150, Naperville, IL 60563) will be abuzz with activity.
Our vendor space will host a wide range of products; 3D printed detail parts, resin freight car kits, brass locomotives, photographs, books, and kits from estate sales.
Please bring your models to display. We have plenty of space and welcome models in all scales, eras, gauges, sizes, and works-in-progress. There are no contests. Bring your latest to explain, teach and inspire your fellow modelers.
If you need a hotel room several are nearby. Here’s a Google Maps link to the area.
