2016 marked the return of the Mini-Kit to RPM Chicagoland. <\/p>\n

The car was a conversion of the Fox Valley Models B&O M-53 wagon top boxcar into an earlier M-15k rebuild. The M-15k’s featured a notched side sill, while resin conversion parts were developed with new end beams, coupler pockets, and underbody details.<\/p>\n

Through an extremely generous donation from Fox Valley Models, HO and N scale Mini-Kits included a full undecorated boxcar on which to perform the conversion. With resin parts cast by Tom Madden, decals from Ted Culotta, and a fishbelly underframe from Accurail, it was almost a complete kit in a box. We thank the modelers and companies that donated to make the Mini-Kit a reality. <\/p>\n
